Does the brain suffer adverse effects when you eat keto?

Nutritional health experts claim the brain needs 130g of glucose to function properly and it’s true. But a well-formulated ketogenic diet only calls for under 50g of carbohydrates daily. However, what these experts fail to explain to would-be keto dieters is the body is very efficient at making glucose from mostly protein and some fat you consume.

The fact is the brain thrives on an alternative byproduct of fat-burning known as ketones to stabilize mood, improve memory, and make you sharp as a tack. Optimized brain health is one of the most powerful health effects of keto and would be reason enough to eat this way for these benefits alone.
