How do you determine the perfect macronutrient ratios on keto?
Many people start eating low-carb, moderate protein, high-fat assuming they need to hit a certain percentage of calories in their fat, protein, and carbohydrates to experience ketosis. But don’t make this a complex math equation.
Start by lowering carbohydrates to 20g and then slowly adjust up to find your personal carbohydrate tolerance level. Then begin with 80g protein methodically adjusting up or down to fit your individual threshold. Finally, consume enough dietary fat from a variety of sources to induce satiety and prevent eating too few calories which lowers your metabolism.
Put away the calculator and simply eat a mostly real foods-based ketogenic diet without the stress of counting macros.
